Perform Remote Stethoscope Recording
How do I perform a stethoscope recording?
1. On the AeviceMD App, go to the Stethoscope tab and select
2. Select a position to perform a stethoscope recording on the AeviceMD App and place the AeviceMD Sensor on the selected area on the patient's chest.
Note:
- It is recommended to use the Silicone Patch to hold the AeviceMD Sensor in place during stethoscope recording.
- Check with your healthcare professional if you are unsure about where to wear the AeviceMD Sensor for remote stethoscope recording.
3. (Optional) To check the quality of the recording before proceeding with the actual recording, select Test Recording.
Note: Some factors affecting the quality of the recording include environmental noise and speech interference, and incorrect placement of the AeviceMD Sensor for the position.
4. The recording will take approximately 15 seconds to complete. For a good recording, the patient should remain still, quiet, and in a comfortable position.
5. Once the recording is complete, you may choose to save and share the recording with your healthcare professional.
Note: Only shared recordings will be available for your healthcare professional to access.
How do I make sure I get the best stethoscope recording possible?
To attain the best stethoscope recording possible:
- Ensure you are in an ideal environment with minimal noise.
- Ensure you remain still and are in a comfortable position.
- Ensure you breathe normally and do not hold your breath.
- Consult your healthcare professional for the proper placement of the AeviceMD Sensor.
How will I know that the AeviceMD Sensor is performing a stethoscope recording?
When the AeviceMD Sensor is recording, the recording in progress screen will be shown on the AeviceMD App.
When should I perform a remote stethoscope recording?
You should perform a remote stethoscope recording when:
- You are contacted by your healthcare professional to provide a remote stethoscope recording.
- You are concerned about your condition and would like to share your health data with your healthcare professional (whether via the AeviceMD App or in person).
